Was there a Mother’s Day this week?? Ya, I guess there was. Mine was mostly spent cleaning toilets and vacuum, cleaning sheets and glass as well as packing up bags and driving (RIDING) 4 hours back home from St. George.
Ok, actually it was a really great weekend and day. I really liked the fact that I really didn’t think much about whether I am a candidate for mother of the year or if I am a failure as a mother, it truly never crossed my mind and St. George was BEAUTIFUL and we had lots of fun shopping, laying in the sun, barbequing and just being together with family… Jessica was so worried about Adrian crying in the car, and he slept the whole way down and most the way home. I only heard him cry for a total of 3 ish minuets until he fell back asleep. It was so fun to spend time with him..
Oh and Chad and I are officially old… We left southern bound at 11:30pm… Chad drove for the first hour, then he was falling asleep so I drove for the next hour until I started falling asleep so Jessica had to drive for the last 2 hours…. Yep, we are old…
Last but not least my WAY TOO SHORT phone calls from my twins…We had a little technical difficulty and our skype conference call didn’t work but we put Jordan on speaker phone on my cell and Jake on the computer and it was great that they got to talk to each other and we got to hear their voices and now we count down to Christmas.. Jordan talked about maybe attending the “Y” when he gets home and Jacob was VERY against that. Jake also thought it would be great if Jordan extended his mission a little so he wouldn’t feel bad.. I got wonderful hand written letters from both of them expressing their love for me and what they are doing.. SO AWESOME!!!
