Good news and bad news..
1) good news, OUR FIRST EGG!!
2) bad news, WE ARE DOWN FROM 9 CHICKS TO 3 HENS... stupid Timber(the dog) keeps eating the chickens.... "Someone" needs to do something about this, i guess it will be me...
We actually found the other chicken so we have 4. We even got 3 eggs today, including our first brown one from our Trukin.( A chicken that has no hair on his neck and he kinda looks like a turkey) It’s been so fun! Kinda like Christmas every few hours. The kids go out like 3-4 times a day to see if there is another egg. Stockton actually caught one in the act today and could tell you step by step what transpired, right down to how it was all slimy and why it was slimy.. He totally describes it as though someone was giving birth…..We had crepes for dinner last night and I used our “home grown eggs” their kinda tiny so I had to use more than what the recipe called for but yummy!
