GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS..

GIRLS CAMP—I LOVED GIRLS CAMP!! I laughed so hard! Such a fun group of leaders! Some are simply hysterical!!

The theme this year was “Happy Ever After” Such a good theme.. The girls were taught that they were all princesses. Daughters of the “King of Kings” That they all deserved nothing less than a prince. The devotionals were all SOOoo good and the spirit was felt so much the whole time. (well not so much during the dance off). I hope these girls remember the spirit they felt and the feelings they had. We watched a conference talk one night on a big screen under the stars of president Eyring and Uchtdorf and I loved the part where he said, “ Hold on tight to what you know to be true” I felt the spirit SO strong and prayed for each of those girls as well as the leaders.. This life is so full of trials and adversity and if only those girls will hold on to what they KNOW and how they felt right then and especially at testimony meeting. There is nothing like a girls camp testimony meeting.. Under the stars, around the campfire with the river roaring in the background, and the holy spirit cuddling everyone..

So many of the leaders had one or even two of their daughters there and I sure missed mine. The last time I went to girls camp was when Jessica was a maimaid? I can’t remember a ton about it but I sure remember the testimony meeting. As leaders, we all sang to the girls this song.

Right now I have a prayer deep within my heart. A prayer for each of you there is a special part, that you remember who you are and He who lives above. Please seek for him and live his way, you’ll feel his great love.

Long before a time you can remember, Our father held you in his arms so tender. Those loving arms released you as he sent you down to earth, HE SAID MY CHILD I LOVE YOU, DON’T FORGET YOUR GREAT WORTH!

This life on earth we knew would not be easy, at times we lose the path his way we may not see, But please remember always, please, that you are not alone. He’ll take your hand he loves you he will guide you home..

Chorus…. Walk tall you’re a daughter, a child of God.. Be strong please remember who you are. Try to understand, you’re part of his great plan, He’s closer than you know, reach up, he’ll take you’re hand….

I think about this often and wonder how those girls are doing. I know a lot of them are doing awesome and it makes me SO happy every time a get a wedding invitation and see that they are making great choices and see them starting their life off with dreams, excitement, and with a temple marriage ☺ I hope this group of girls can be strong enough to fight off the advisory and remember how much their Savior wants them to follow him and make the right choices so they can have their happily ever after..

I know that all the leaders always say this, but since I am not a leader, and I was over all the food, I will say that it was such an awesome group of girls. I’ve been to a lot of girls camps and there is ALWAYS drama.. cliques, pouting, tears, ect.. but not ANY on this trip. I think that I am extra sensitive to noticing if girls are being left out or pushed out. I can’t stand mean girls! But I saw none of that on this camp.. LOVED IT>>
