London day 1 and 2

London- London is awesome! Famous quote from Stetson as we get off the plane in London.. So we’re in England.. Well put another shimp on the barbi…haha
Day 1 London- well I guess technically it was day 2. Day one was actually spent on the plane and running through the airport begging them to re-open the doors and hold the plane there in Atlanta to London. We learned a lesson, that as I remember right, we’ve already learned in the past, but DO NOT STOP TO EAT BEFORE YOU CHECK IN FOR YOUR CONNECTING FLIGHTS—IT JUST MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT NEXT THE PLACE THAT YOU’RE EATING LIKE YOU THINK IT IS! IT JUST MIGHT BE AT THE OTHER END OF THE HUGE ATLANTA AIRPORT!!!
Anyway, they opened the doors and let us on. Stetson said ‘”oh this is going to be great, everybody is going to be looking at us while we are walking to our seats.” I was like, no they won’t- but as we walked through the plane to our seats, which were close to the back, with sweat dripping down our faces from running, and our tails between our legs, everyone stared…… We were just so happy to find our luggage when we arrived and that they had put it back on after they had taken it off when we didn’t make the last call announcement!

We arrived in London at 7:00 am (which was actually 12:00 am our time) -we were ready for bed but were told not to sleep…..we did anyway…. After a short nap we headed out to see the sights. First we visited the Cabinet war Rooms, which were underground rooms were Winston Churchill and his men and women, ran the war with the protection of the bomb proof underground rooms. There was also a Winston Churchill Museum.. It was under this area..
We then went and checked out The London Bell Tower, better know as “BIG BEN” and the beautiful Parliament Building. We then enjoyed dinner in our hotel “The Langam” with the rest of our group..
